This is the thread where we chat about our hopes of DKC4 coming. You can post ideas for it too, but there might already be a topic for that.

I thought the Jungle Beat Wii-make was quite on par of becoming a DKC4 with the annoucement of the Banana Coin.

If there is one, they will probably screw it up.

Kong-Fu may be right. Sometimes, sequels aren't good. Shrek is getting ogre and done with as he has 3 movies with 2 more coming. But some sequels are good. So I hope there is a DKC4...

Yeah, how could we forget DKC3? The final(?) game of the DKC trilogy.

Then again, why did SSBB have trophies of Expresso and Squiter, but not Chunky and Kiddy?

DKC4 would be nice, but for it to be really good it has to be a direct to VC release, must involve DK and Kiddy stopping Kommander K.Rool from harvesting the power of the Banana fairies and the Banana Birds to do something really evil, Must be done in ACM like the other DKCs.

But theres more of a chance for a New Donkey Kong Country on DS.

To answer your question Guy, I don't know, Maybe not enough hardware space.

Doubtful, but it will be far removed in terms of style, setting, design etc. if it happens.

Could be, yet again, maybe not. They released a Mega Man 9 on Wii Ware, and it's graphics were just like NES graphics. If you release DKC4, it could be on Wii Ware, and it's graphics could be like the DKC series.

I'd love to see DKC4 released for VC with the same graphical style of the old games. I don't think it'll happen though.

I don't think it'll be made anytime soon (or EVER), but if it does get released, Nintendo would probably ruin it.

And speaking of DKC4, there was a letter in the most recent issue of Nintendo Power (vol. 235) from a DKC fan who wanted a DKC4. Unfortunately, their reply was that they'd prefer a sequel to DK '94. And in their review of Vectorman, they mentioned that it was as overrated as DKC.

Doesn't look like it'll ever happen, but you never know eh?

I think it'd be pretty cool as a WiiWare game, like they did with Megaman 9.

Anyway, I said I hope so. Mainly because, Nintendo seems to have given DK the short end of the stick so far. I'm angry at them enough for it, and they keep rubbing it in my face.

If one comes out, awesome, fantastic, and we shall celebrate with lots of bananas, but y'know...my faith isn't high.

I would rather they not make a DKC4. I could just imagine the 3D and horrible new aspects they would put into it.

Although it isn't all that likely, I'd like to see it on DS/DSi. WiiWare might be better, but Rare probably can't develop for it. Nintendo seems to like reviving old game series' (Game & Watch, Kid Icarus in Brawl, Ice Climbers in Melee, ROB in lots of stuff), so I suppose there's a small chance of it happening. Hopefully they'll take a hint considering DKC is one of the most downloaded games on VC.

If it was made, then everything should be like it was in the DKC games in terms of designs and atmosphere. The sprites should stay, but they could get more detailed and have more colors. If it were made, I'd prefer if they didn't include any 3D things at all, because it'd defeat the purpose of the smooth sprite graphics in the originals. And hopefully keep new characters to a minimum. And Rare's designs for the characters. And lots of animal buddies. And David Wise should do the music. And there should be remixes of other DKC themes.

Since it'd be made long after the originals, it should go back to DK and Diddy, the original playable characters, and take place in different areas of DK Island. Perhaps some from the first DKC, some from Donkey Kong Land, and some new areas as well.

I'm cetic about it... Why Rare left Nintendo? I don't understand the reason...

If Simion32 doesnt make i sure nuff will. I can draw the characters and im going to college for gam art so if he doesnt make it, expect Kimbrelly Anna kong to create a masterpeice.

But thats only if noone beats me to it. Which means in two years if it doesnt excist, then its up to me.
