Hi,

There are a few people here that have made remixes. Just wondering what programs you use.

Thanks.

Try Audacity, it's free of price and viruses.

Isn't that just for editing audio? I want something to create music from scratch and non-midi.

Probably some uber-expensive audio program the size of Microsoft Office.

EDIT: This is something that really annoys me. I can't learn how to create music because all the necessary software costs droves of Benjamins, which I do not have.

Don't waste your time. I've searched extensively for the kind of thing you're asking about, and haven't been able to find any. Macs come pre-packaged with fricking GarageBand and Windows users get Notepad and Windows Media Player.

I use Anvil Studio to compose MIDIs, then import them to SynthFont to play the songs with soundfonts. You don't even need a soundfont-compatible soundcard for the last one.
Unfortunately, Anvil Studio's pretty rudimentary if you don't buy the add-ons, and I believe SynthFont will start being pay-only (right now, the unpaid version just has a really annoying waiting screen for when you want to do anything with the settings).

Funny, there's a composition program called Notepad too =P

I use FL studio. It costs money, but it's worth it.
