Bigger Running Dixie?

Ok, yeah, I know I may sound annoying, but I play the GBA version more than the SNES... and came with this...

Why is Dixie's running animation/sprite bigger than her others? In DKC3 is normal size but in DKC2 it's bigger... weird...

I'm guessing it's because Rare was lazy when converting the game from SNES to GBA.

Rare really did get lazy when it came to the GBA ports. For example, Bleak shares the exact same sprite as the SNES version; I could paste the Bleak sprite from DKC3 GBA over my current avatar and nobody could ever tell the difference.

Well, I think that makes more sense than 'reinventing the wheel' for a case like Bleak. Since he never directly interacts with the Kongs, there's no need to have him shrunk down to scale... besides, the bigger the better, when it comes to bosses. ;)

I never noticed Dixie's running sprite being bigger before...cool find, but I'm going to notice that every time I see it now. :p

DKC3 is definately where Rare got lazy - Dixie and Kiddy's back view sprites (from the crystal caverns and the Bleak boss fight) are exactly the same as the SNES as well, palette and all. The Tracker Barrels and Waterfall Barrels are the same colour as on the SNES too. I guess Rare figured that by this point, since everyone had a GBA SP, they didn't need to brighten the colours up anymore.

That's how I really wanted all of the DKC ports to be. Exactly like the originals without any damn changes but they ruined it aaargh
Most sprites are exactly the same for obvious reasons, but they've been shrunken down to 75% because of the small resolution of the Game Boy Advance.

And GBA is slightly widescreen, which causes problems with how much you can see.

Dangit, Kiddy14! Now I can't help but notice that whenever I play the games! It's driving me crazy :cry: .
