How to go beyond the 4MB DKC1 rom limit?

I have noticed that in DKCRE you have a limit to how many objects are in a level. It seems that it is because of the 4MB limit if the rom. I was wondering if there was a way to bypass that limit, so I could use DKCRE to make my DKC4 Fangame work. And of course, feel free to post any ideas you have, for me the well has mostly run dry.

The size of the ROM and the limit of object map sizes are completely unrelated. You could always expand the rom but that wont do anythiing about object maps. Also, DKC1 already has a ton of free space!

I didn’t realize that! All I could do in DKCRE was edit or delete objects! I’ll have to do more research on how to use DKCRE to add objects!

Don't waste your time. Adding objects to levels is not hard, but tricky to do and not overlap any used data. DKCRE doesn't have this capability. Mine only allows you to delete and readd previously existing objects.

OK, thank you. So are we waiting for DELTA to finish and then Simion32 will work on DKCLB?

DELTA is actually getting very close guys.
Maybe need another month or so. I've been putting all my free time into it.
