After your crash, the game must be reset. You'll notice your file progress % has been changed to "-01%", which simply means you're getting somewhere with this cheat - once you unlock Donkey Kong you will have to start the game itself at the beginning. But you're still nowhere near done with the cheat. Start up your file and you'll get a cutscene of what's been happening back at DK Island ever since the game began. Things have gone crazy.
