Is there any way to put a chat? It is very useful so one can talk constantly with Others. Things like xat but can not be put into phpbb or Make a HTML page.

Some Idea?

Hi Kvinxx, I am indeed planning to add a chat service to DKC Atlas as part of the redesign I'm working on. Chat's definitely a good way to keep up conversations with others in the community, and I've been meaning to add this option to the Atlas for a while now.

Yeah, this would definitely be better than throwing PMs back and forth.

Maybe you can make it where there are private chats as well as a globalized public chat?

I haven't selected a specific chat service/software package yet. I'll try to make sure there are options to suit all conversational needs (private/public chat, topics, etc...). As for how it will be integrated; I might add it to the forum, the redesigned main page, a separate page, or keep it globally accessible from all parts of the site. The latter would be ideal, so long as it doesn't slow down page loading times too much.

Yes I can; phpBB is quite well designed for mods, and the library of available mods is very impressive. I'm sure there would be a suitable chat mod, if we decide to take that approach.

Thanks for the link; it looks like a good little mod. I'll take a proper look soon, and might see about implementing it.
