The world map is Mt. Kongmore? leo_core, that picture is awesome. I mean, I always thought DKC looked realistic, but this just takes the cake!

I had seen this monument but still did not know the name! :lol:
I want to make a mountain that has carved the heads of four Kongs for the World Map (DK, Diddy, Dixie and Kiddy). But I can not find anywhere a 3D model of Kiddy Kong, I think I'll have to adapt a 2D image rendered :?

Table of Buddies

1 = Rambi
2 = Winky
3 = Expresso
4 = Rattly
5 = Squitter
6 = Squawks
7 = Purple Squawks

They are all animal friends from DKC Snes series, It now remains "secondary animal friends" (Lantern Squawks, Glimmer, Clapper and Parry) I've forgotten some?
The "secondary animal friends" they are easier to make and must complete them quickly!

Well, we have plans to release a new demo as soon as we have completed all animal friends and some krens (I believe that within three weeks).

Nice programming leo_core! I noticed some sort of ability that allowed you to slow your descent. Is this true, or am I seeing things? Oh, and the way Blue Squawks sounded right before he let go of you made me think Diddy was choking him!

If you hold up, it will come down more slowly.
If you hold down together, go down faster.
If you do not even hold down and not up it will come down to an intermediate speed.

Oh! I just liked you guys on Facebook and I was looking through the photos you uploaded. I saw the swinging rope Kongs and I wanted to ask if you were ever able to add the swinging animations I made for Kiddy and Dixie.

I was also wondering the progress in adding Tiny Kong in the game.

well if you planned to add tiny kong you should add lanky and chunky kong but i don't think it's a good idea there 3 kong isn't in original dkc

This is totally experimental, a friend of mine is making the process of rig model and I'll try to create the animations. Maybe we will have a new character... I'm working on "helper buddies" (Lantern Squawks, Glimmer, Clapper and Parry).

I think it would be more interesting as a character Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong again is another clone of Dixie, since the Lanky might have some specifics as to grasp the barrels and float away in a different way of Dixie ...

course ... to have the two as a new double would be fantastic :lol:

Yes, I had said back there ... but now got someone to do the process for the model rig.

I chose Tiny because we have three monkeys males (DK, Diddy and Kiddy) and one female only (Dixie).
I will do different skills for it (but is not sure yet what it will be added to the game).

Did you happen to notice if Clapper is missing any frames? I did those sprites a LONG time ago, so it's very possible.

The stages with the Glimmer and Lanter Squawks will be more difficult (especially with the Glimmer, too dark!)

I really am impressed with your progress! There is only one thing I want to suggest. I think you should take out the wing flapping noise for lantern Squawks. I think it's a bit distracting. Does he have a wing flap noise in the first DKC?

I think maybe it's too loud or something... maybe if it was more subtle. I can see the flapping be that loud when you're riding him or whatever... I think it would work better if the flapping noise from Parry in DKC3 was used.

So I put a "flap flap" sound effect more discreet. Maybe flapping noise from Parry in DKC3 (with slight modification).

I said that today was going to post the Parry but I think I will not give, I'm a little busy with other things today.

And with the Parry concluded the part of the Buddies. It was a real journey to put all the animal friends of the SNES DKC series in the project since each has its specific characteristics, in all whe have 12 animals buddies:

1 = Rambi
2 = Winky
3 = Expresso
4 = Rattly
5 = Squitter
6 = Squawks
7 = Purple Squawks
8 = Enguarde
9 = Ellie
10 = Blue Squawks
11 = Glimmer
12 = Parry

It is likely that we will have a buddy unique to our project, we must discuss this with Hiperkalango's yet.

The next step is I join the two parts of the projects, my (partner system) and the Hiperkalango's (the system of buddies). Before I need to make several adjustments to refine the system partner and a few more hits with the buddies.

When the project is unified, will initiate the bad system collision, which will be added the Krens. We entered the final stage of project to release a new playable demo!

The updates will now take a little longer than usual, since we're in the general settings of the engine, making corrections and unifying the various systems. I have worked hard at it.

wow really nice job but i saw that the buddies don't grab the swinging rope like in DKC1, I think you should fixed that and all will be perfect :)

Thank you! But the switch system is still terribly buggy!! I am making the necessary corrections ;)

And I forgot to mention T2K on the video for sprites rip, but it is especially mentioned in the next video, I promise not to forget! I'm getting retarded, sorry. :oops:

I can safely say "Case closed for the rope swinging."

I do want to point out that there is still one little glitch. In the original DKC, whatever your active Kong did, the standby Kong would imitate. So if Dixie were swinging on the rope, Donkey would have done the same in the background. The demo does not do this - instead, Donkey jumps over to the other platform and resumes his idle pose. That needs to be fixed.

I did not add to the partner AI system so that it mimics the player controlled in the rope, but I'll do it yet.
