I just got a laptop with Windows 8 for my birthday, and so far it is one of the worst operation systems I have ever used.

1. It crashes on GameMaker games.
2. It has no start menu.
3. It is for tablets and phones... WTF!!!
4. It's slower (Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise, my laptop has much better specs than my Windows Vista PC)
5. They removed a bunch of the bundled software.
6. It's super ugly!
7. Metro UI is like having an XBOX OS on your PC.
8. It has hot corners on the desktop, so you can accidentally go back to Metro...
9. It has cancel/allow crap that is worse than Vista.

They ruined Windows, I'm going to Linux, WINE works just fine with Donkey Kong Country Resource Editor and other tools anyways.

If anyone wants to talk crap about Windows 8, post it here.

I'd like to complain that Windows 8 doesn't have the Start Menu tab at the bottom right. I refuse to upgrade mine to Windows 8 because of that.

Just so you know, DELTA is explicitly not going to support Windows 8.

I don't want my professionally designed software designed around that crap-for-code operating system.

It sucks more than Vista. And the UI is horrible. XP is still better and probably always will be.

I've done my fair share of bitching about windows 8. Luckily, though, there are a ton of people who have done things to fix what they broke. I've downloaded a free start bar (it looks like a shell and it is almost exactly like a normal windows start bar and you're not paying like $8 for it). I've also had to download something to MOVE FILES AROUND WITHIN A FOLDER. Seriously, try dragging something in your folder. it won't let you. It alphabatizes it automatically and no matter what.
Also, if you have a boot disk for an older version of windows, you can put dual operating systems on your machine with a program called VMWare. I put xp on my computer specifically so I can play old games (like ms dos
games) and for compatibility purposes.

DELTA actually works with 8, that's one thing GOOD about Windows 8.
