Agreed; this isn't quite what we're after (for the reasons mentioned), but it's a good quality editing job, and a nice piece of visual brainstorming. I'm thinking of doing a 'polaroid' style background for the avatars to be displayed on (kind of like how the screenshots on the 'At a glance' panels look, on the level info pages), so let's concentrate on creating original artistic representations of the characters/objects/scenes themselves, rather than worrying about the border/background.
