DKC2 has the Swanky's Bonus Bonanza mini-game, and it occurred to me the other day that it could be fleshed out into a stand-alone trivia game. With the right ASM hacks, you could have different topics with randomized questions and maybe even a multi-player mode.

There's a huge range of topics that could be covered, from the old Donkey Kong arcade games, Donkey Kong '94, the Mario vs. Donkey series, the Country and Country Returns series, the Land series, DK64, spin-offs and cameo appearances, other Rare games, the DKC cartoon show, and more. A community effort to put together questions, categorize them, and rank them by difficulty could be a lot of fun.

Does anyone have much experience messing with the Swanky mini-game?

I'm not deep into DKC trilogy hacking yet, but I really love the idea you've got here!!

It would be fun to have a multiplayer quiz show game perhaps with more than 2 players (isn't 4 player possible through special SNES controller hardware???).

Reminds me of what Banjo-Tooie did with the Tower of Tragedy minigame.

The SNES can support up to five players with a multitap (eight if you have two multitaps, although this has only ever been implemented in one homebrew game). But for a turn-based game, you can just pass the controllers around.
