How to patch a ROM with MSU-1 Patch

Postby WesternTanager794 » January 21st, 2023, 1:29 pm

I have a MSU patch with a bunch of pcm files. It does not have a lunar ips file bundled with it. It has a msu file bundled with it. I'm trying to hack a dkc3 rom. :parry:

Is this where you downloaded from? https://www.zeldix.net/t1598-donkey-kong-country-3

You have to download the patch via one of the links under the blue heading, along with at least one of the PCM sets under the red headings.

Typically, the PCM sets are separate from the MSU-1 patch itself, so that the user can choose which PCM set they want to use with the patch without having to download all the others. The patch author is often different from the people who create the PCM sets.

It was the DKC3 GBA music that someone attempted to restore with modern instrument libraries. I had a topic about it a while back. Also, I assumed that you would be the one who would be the expert on this. :parry:
