While I can understand where people would prefer button controls, I wouldn't buy the game again just for that. And while motion controls certainly can take me time getting used to, so did the analog stick back in the N64 days (for me), yet nobody else seems to complain about that.
Anyway, it turns out that there
is something new... an easy mode:
http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintend ... 46102.htmlIn short, in this mode, the Kongs get 3 hits instead of 2, and can use new items, ranging from one that saves the Kongs from falls, another that allows mine carts and rocket barrels to take a second hit, and another that is basically a DK Barrel in reserve.
Now, the Wii version is difficult and I can see where some people would need this, but I think these changes will make it too
easy instead. Especially the item that allows mine carts and rocket barrels to take a second hit, where I've died numerous times due to dying in one hit. And wasn't Super Kong enough? (Heck, I never even used it because it would have ruined it for me!)
Especially since...
...it's hard for me to see that these changes will not make it too easy.
You know,
since there were going to be more levels after the Golden Temple, it would be nice to include these cut levels as a bonus feature. I assume these didn't make it originally due to time constraints, but it's been more than two years since the Wii release, so surely they'd have time to include these levels. The only times where there have been new levels in ports were Necky Nutmare and Pacifica. Please, include features that would
please us longtime DK fans!! (Though, on the other hand, since the Golden Temple was the hardest of all for me, I'd hate to see how hard these levels would have been...)
Back in my day, we didn't have an easy mode -- we had fewer items and fewer hit points. And we enjoyed it! You kids have it too easy these days...
